Hey Friends and Neighbors!

We are so excited to invite you to opening day at The Stand! Please come and enjoy fresh veggie snacks, prepared meats from Splitting Aces Livestock, live music AND an introduction to our honor-system based, local food conscious, small farm only, Farm Stand.

The name: “The Stand” is a simple name for a simple shop. It’s an easy roll off the tongue, “Hey, I’m heading over to The Stand, need anything?” It could imply something in the way of taking a stand, perhaps against a globalized food system. But also it is not intended to be political. A farm stand is simple and easy; traditional and well-meaning. For people across all lines. For people who need and love food. For all of us.

How does an honor-system work? Basically, it means the we trust you. You shop, then write down what you get in the book, and pay. We will have various payment options: cash/check and a credit card reader.

Benji, Carys and the Mahonia interns will be at the stand when it needs to be stocked. We will harvest daily to fill the needs of the stand. This will give us a quick visual of what people are buying on a daily basis and what we should grow more of!
