On Farm Opportunities and Events

Come join the farm family! There are various ways to engage with the farm: to see where your food is coming from, to learn some farming basics, and to get your hands dirty which has cascading effects on mental and physical freedom! We would love to see you out at the farm!

WWOLF- Willing Workers on local farms- May 10th

For the past 2 years we have been a part of the CO Locavore program- WWOLF. Like WWOOF, which many people know, this program brings volunteers out to Local Farms in the Central Oregon area. We will be hosting on FRIDAY, MAY 10th from 10am to 3pm.

We will provide lunch and warm beverages. Tasks will be pulling old plants, composting, moving manure, turning beds, and general beautifying!

Check out the WWOLF website- https://centraloregonlocavore.org/wwolf/ for more info.

Friday Harvest / Veggie Trade- Fridays June-Sept.

Friday’s have been our big harvest day for years and we love having new faces out on the farm to help us pick the produce for the weekend Farmers Markets. This year we will be harvesting Friday’s for the Sat. Bend NW Xing Market, and the Sunday Sisters Market.

Our offer is a box of veggies at the end of 4 hours of harvest help. We ask that you come from 8am to noon. You are welcome to stay longer :) this is just minimum for the trade. Call to sign-up for harvest shifts. We will have 3-4 volunteers each Friday, so let us know which days you would like to come out. 603-969-2136 (Carys) 541-420-8684 (Benji)

Seed Swap / Seed Giveaway- March 10th

We are hosting a seed swap at Fir St. Park on Sunday, March 10th, from noon to 2pm. You are welcome to bring seed to share or just come get seed that we are happy to share! We have tons of random seed from throughout the years- flowers, herbs, and vegetables- that may be reaching expiration. We would love them to be planted and get to experience life! Please come and create homes for some tiny balls of genetic material with so much potential!

We have some small envelopes but feel free to bring used envelopes or bags or jars for seed you take. We will have labeling materials.
